    Bruton of Nashville Tennessee Scotch Snuff is a hard-hitting traditional American Snuff. It definitely does not pull any punches. Fine ground and very dry. It is a medium brown color with all the fixings of Ole Authentic Southern Tobacco. This snuff is more for the experienced Snuffer, but it does set the mark for new comers when comparing snuffs. For the un-experience do not be surprised if a tear comes to one of your eyes from the first sniff, it's just that strong no joke. There may be a bit of sneezing going along with that as well. It has a strong tobacco taste accompanied by a distinct strong cured (smoky) flavor. Recommended for the experienced Snuffer. But for the few adventures new to snuff you are definitely in for a surprise. Good Luck!

    Hey KIm I cant find Bruton anywhere locally, does it compare to Red seal at all?

    It compares to Rooster. CC compares to Red Seal. You can get Bruton online

    I found a store here in town that sales cheap Cigs. One of those discount mini cigs stores you find in a strip mall. They had a display case of American Snuff. Even carried some in those Huge cans (I'm just guessing measurement 5 inches. One chain of grocery stores here cares a few snuff. But that Discount Cigs place had a selection and cheaper as well. What the grocery store wanted for Dental $ 3.67 with out tax. I got at that little store for 3.50 with tax.

    Troutstroke what does Railroad taste like. I'm just trying American Snuff. Luckily someone in my tasting test will like it and I give it to them. For being a good sport and telling me what they think or taste. So I can compare it to what I taste about that particular snuff. We eat dinner first then the testing begins. By the time the taste test end. We have been trying snuff for 3 or 4 hours. We take long break between the different brands. We have or saline bottles and our handkerchiefs. Plus a drink to go along with it as well.

    I'm interested in what these taste like. I'm just standing at the counter trying to figure out what to try.
    Troutstroke do we have any that are like SP, something that compares to UK SP? Or all US snuff scotch or sweet?

    I broke out my jar of Brutons after reading your review. This is seriously some potent stuff. I've got a jar of the W.E. Garret on order. I look forward to trying it.
