I wonder does anyone know what the status of McChrystals S'nuff is? My local tobacconist says he cannot get it any longer.

I also tried emailing McChrystals from their website, and it came back to me marked as undeliverable.

Whats going on at McChrystals? Anyone know? Has Roderick put them out of business?

Does anyone have a reliable email address for them?

I'm not too concerned if I cannot get this again, but I'm just curious to know if they have stopped production.

I still see it on several websites. I also just bought two tins of it from Tim at the SnuffStore. Last time I was on McChrystals site it was listed on their WebStore as well. I don't think you have to worry.

    Thanks dajawu,

Personally I think the tobacconist just can't be arsed buying it in! Hopefully his attitude will see him having to close up shop as his customers go elsewhere!

However I have now gotten an email from Martin McGahey saying he cannot get it either, I have emailed him asking why.

Maybe Roderick has sent a group of his Gremlin Dwarves down to Leicester to put a spanner in the works lol!

Maybe Tim or some of the other sellers on here will have more info regarding supplies.

No problem. Screw that guy, I know nobody around me carries any kind of snuff. I can't even get American snuff and I live in America!!! Ohh well the internet sites like Toque and Snuffstore are great to deal with so I am happy.

If it was'nt for online sellers I would surely be stuck for almost anything snuff related and I live in England. I think it's still a relatively minor sport still everywhere.

thats the only place where i find such a variety of snuffs without
    internet.

The email address on the McChrystals website hasn't worked in a very long time now. I would not worry about them going out of business, too many love the goodness that is OG.

    Thanks BigSnoot.

I am not worried that McChrystal Company have wound up, after all the years they have been on the go it would be hard to imagine. What I cannot understand is why two tobacconists in one day have said that they are unable to obtain McChrystals S'nuff.

I am wondering have McChrystals wound up that particular product?

If they have not updated their email in ages, maybe they don't bother updating their website either.

Seems strange a big Company like them not having a working email address on their web site, does not send good signals to potential customers.

I find most 'corner' shops and newsagents carry Wilsons, but its only in the North that I have found any variety - seems to be regional?

distributors carry diffrent snuffs. I know the only three that my local tobacconist can get are ozona cherry, raspberry and cheif bull, but not spearmint or president. So who knows.

Snuffster - it isn't just in the north that you can find some variety. I know of two shops near my daughter's in Cornwall that carry a moderate selection, one in Redruth (where she lives) and one in Helston. I guess the common factor is/was the mining industry.

Yes, I'd forgotten that, I think you are right - Burnley, where I was brought up, was a mining town until the 70's, and of course Cornwall had it's tin industry.

Actually Cornwall looks like getting some of its tin mining back - South Crofty mine (between Redruth and Camborne) is set to reopen next year. The rise in the price of tin makes it viable again. We drove past it the other week and while it is clearly not yet in full operation, there is certainly activity there.

Thats nice to know. I have been going to Cornwall at least once a year for most of my life - a love that my parents passed on to me. Wherever else I go in the world, I always love my trips to Cornwall the most, although of course I am only an 'Emit'!

With a Cornish son-in-law and a half-Cornish granddaughter, we get there two or three times a year. Great place.

Can't get used to our granddaughter having a Cornish accent though! At least her mother (our elder daughter) will remind her of her East Yorkshire roots!

    Hi Snufecker,

To nick a famous saying and confirm the above replies.

'Reports of McChrystal's S'nuff demise are greatly exaggerated...'

I was on the phone to them the other day ordering stock. Included in the order I placed was one for several boxes of 12's of S'nuff, so you're safe old chap!

    Ta-Ta
    Tim
