Sparrow Cool in a bullet is a dangerous idea. That one needs to be pinched and pinched very carefully. Good luck newbies. Read the forum's archives as much as you can. You will learn a lot.

hello all, my names colin from dartford in kent england, (a newbie to the world of snuff)
i was on holiday recently in cornwall, southwest england and had a visit to a lovely place called Newquay and while we were there went to the tobacco shop in the high street, i was looking in the window and spotted what i thought was a lovely looking redbull lighter, so i went into the shop and asked about it and the man looked a bit confused and had to have a look , it was then that he told me it was a redbull snuff box. we went inside the shop and i mustave said something about never knowing what snuff really was and then he got a tin of poschl raspberry snuff out and told me how to take some. i liked it but didnt buy any but bought some vanilla gold handrolling tobacco and left and me and the missus carried on up the high street, as we were looking in the shops i couldnt stop enjoying the smell still in my nose. as we went back towards the car, i had to go back in there and so i bought a tin of it, now i take it to work with me or anywhere, its great.
i recently ordered more on a site called The black swan shoppe , ive got 1 tin of poschl apricot, another tin of poschl raspberry, 1 tin of mc chrystals mild lemon flavoured snuff,1 tin of Wilsons of sharrow royal george snuff and 1 tin of Wilsons of sharrow cherry menthol snuff, also a small bag of Auld Kendal gold handrolling tobacco on its way to me.
hope i didnt bore you all too much, cheers (col).

    Welcome to all the newcomers!

@ fazer - Cornwall is a great county for being able to buy snuff over the counter in real shops. As well as that place in Newquay I also know of shops selling snuff in Redruth and Helston and I've no doubt there are others I haven't found yet.

The one in Helston is Carroll's newsagents, down towards the bottom of the hill on the main drag, opposite where the Woolworth's used to be. I only get to go there when we visit our daughter and her family in Redruth though.

    Welcome fazer,
One thing about snuff, is there is such a large variety of types. Some may appeal right away, some later, and once in a while one not at all.

    Hello everyone!
My name is Richie and I am located in Colorado, U.S.A. I have been using snuff since December, and it is now my only form of tobacco. I actually used to smoke more than a half pack of cigarettes a day, and hookah on the weekends. I used Swedish snus to kick the cigs, and snuff to kick the snus. Not planning on giving up my snuff though! I started out with a few flavors from Wilson's, but now mostly use the American scotch snuffs. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know everyone and learning a lot in the process!

LordJ, the Toque Original is delicious, as well as a lot of their other flavors. They have tons of non-mentholated flavors to choose from, varying from fruit to candy to liquor flavored.

I've never tasted a Toque I don't like so far.

    Lord J,
I hope you ordered more than one can of quit. The best thing to do when you get started is pick up a good variety of types and brands so that you can find a style or flavor that suits you. Also, if you are new, bullets can be difficult to use. There are a lot of mixed reviews, but overall I would say the majority of users on here don't use the bullets.

I enjoy the ritual of picking the spot on the hand and building the piles. The bullet is great, but there is something to be said about the ritual.

I like doing impromptu snuff mixes on my hand.

different one in each nostril, Carol? I'd assume if you find a good combo you'd mix up a batch. Does it taste different when it's actually incorporated?

wickedkitchen, I just put a small pile on my hand and mix it up, and sniff the mixture. I do this to see how things taste together. If I find one I really love, I mix up a tin. Yes, I've found if it tastes good mixed on the hand, it tastes great mixed and settled in a tin.

I use my bullets as convenient tap out containers, on to my thumbnail. To me the portion is perfect, especially since I use mostly scotches and toasts. I NEVER put the bullet up to my nose anymore.
