I am new here. My name is Paul and I live in Knoxville TN. Dipping is too strong for me, and so is snus, so I am trying snuff. I like it! Right now I have some dholakia cherry she in but it is not my preference. I do like the medicinal one though.

Hello fellow snuff takers. My name is Matt and I'm new to this site having registered only a few days ago.

This blog has enlightened me a lot. I have emailed Mr. Lawrie for some samples of Toque. From what I've read here and elsewhere, this is an excellent snuff. I have been limited to domestic snuff and a few brands from abroad.

Didn't want to post before I had a chance to review this discussion board. I'm definitely glad I stumbled upon it.

    Hi Matt,
Welcome to the forum. Mr Lawrie is my Father/Dad/Pop everyone here calls me Roderick.
Hope you enjoy the samples, although I have to apologise as there may be a slight delay in them being posted. This is due to our launching 2 new toasts at the weekend and us being a little busy at the moment. Typical British understatement!

Hi everyone! I'm a former pack-a-day smoker who quit using Swedish snus. My first real nasal snuff experience was with Pöschl's Gawith Apricot when my snus ran out several months ago. I didn't care for it too much. After having a chance to try some Toque flavors, I'm sold. The menthol is my current favorite, and blueberry and chocolate are really good too.

welcome fed, I post as bondzai on snuson.com Don't know if you have been there. I have only been snuffing for a couple days but am off the dip and snus now and only snuffing.... I feel a lot clearer because snus was too strong for me--but oliver twists are ok. I have yet to try the toque menthol or the blueberry. I will say I love the original. Also the espresso is good too. I have some natural and some marmalade and toast on order. I love toque! And the management there is very responsive. Roderick has been very helpful to me.

    Welcome to the forum 1Fed.

fixin2, another oral tobacco you might like is Stoker's looseleaf, available in many great tasting long lasting flavors & its not too strong either. Also stitch is working on a great oliver twist alternative.

Trout, is stokers heavily sweetened? The reason I don't chew redman or levi garrett is its loaded with sugar. Also, who is stitch?

fixin2, they are not sickening sweet, They do have a sweetness but in a good way that compliments the flavor, not in an overloaded molasses way that redman is. 3 of my favorites are the peach, apple & butternut, also the tropical is pretty good.

Here is the Fred Stoker & Sons catalog you might enjoy. Place your request here. Its full of tobacco of all sorts.

stitch (Daniel) is another forum member here.

Oliver t. is not my #1 smokeless choice, but I do enjoy it, and I must say they and their American importer are mighty quick and responsive. I finally found Twist on the shelf of a cigar shop about an hour away from me after wanting to try it. I got home and realized that 2/4 of the OT's I got had expiration dates of well over a year ago. One was marked best by Feb. 2007. I emailed the site, as they encourage people to do so. I got an email the next day from Mette Nygaard who'd cc'd her US importers. I'd asked if I could send the unused expired ones back, the importer guy Casey Cooper offered to send me 1 of each of their flavors, fresh, for free. He also cc'd 2 of his employees asking them to let him know asap as soon as they'd sent my fresh tobacco, and said they'd call and talk to the shop where I got it, making sure the retailer was aware of their exp. dates. Little Off-topic, but I thought that was a fine example of the kind of customer service that seems rare these days.

    McChrystals:
    Mild Lemon
    Highland Ice

    Wilson's:

Yes, welcome Quinn. So you're from the states, but none of our fine American Dry snuffs make your favorites list?

No. Qdaddy it is the finest to sniff. It was most definitely made to be sniffed but as snuffing fell out of favor people in the south and rural places and most likely poorer started to dip it as a cheap alternative. At least that is what I've gleaned from way to many snuff searches on the internet. So get you self some Levi or W.E.garrett and enjoy the Bar-B-Q. Oh I suggest pinching a small amount pretty tightly and sniffing gently while you let it go slowly.

Please allow me to interdooze myselphe :) I'm Nicholas in Denmark. Former bass player in a certain 80s new wave rock band :) Now a Historian and Eastern Orthodox Theologian. Got introduced to Snuff while living for 3 years in NE PA. I first tried out a variety of chews, which didn't really sit with me, and then I tried nasal snuff. I hated it at first, but could not forget about it, and when I came back to Denmark having graduated last year, I decided to give it a go. I quit smoking last october having been a heavy smoker since 1976, and I do not miss it. I can smoke an occasional cigarrette, but only when someone offer me one, and my attitude towards tobacco has changed from that of an addict to that of a fein-schmecker. Snuff taking also has both a historical and cultural past which I find absolutely fascinating.

my name is tris , im a 22 yr old student from england.
i heard about snuff accidently about 3 days ago. within the hour i had ordered some and 2 days after i was using it!

i had started back on smoking some months ago after i had managed to quit. it started with "im out drinking so its ok to smoke" and gradually smoking worked its way back into everyday routine. i dont and never did enjoy smoking except when i was drunk. ive stopped drinking for health reasons and i took up snuff because i enjoy nicotine but i also dont want to smoke (for health reasons). the stimulant effect and the clear head from snuff should also help me in my sports.

i also enjoy single malt whisky and snuff seems to go hand in hand with such a past time. appreciating as many as possible, and collecting as many as i can afford.

hopefully i can get my parents off smoking onto snuff as it is obviously infinatly healthier. they are currently suffering health problems smoking but they cant seem to quit and normal replacement therapy has failed for them.

    all hail snuff!
