American Snuff Company (as they are once again known) really only make 3 plain scotch snuffs these days; Dental, Honest, and Garrett. On the whole as a brand they are somewhat less full bodied but are smoother than Swisher's or US Smokeless. The are generally less robust than the USSTs. I would say they have sharpness and smoothness as defining characteristics. Honest is very similar to W.E. Garrett. I would say it has a slightly lighter/finer quality to it and is significantly less smokey. It packs every bit of the nicotine punch that Garrett does though. Both are 4 star scotch snuffs, but I might like this one slightly better.

I usually use English snuffs, but bought six different American Scotch snuffs to try. Honest was the easiest on the nose and the strongest in smokey flavour. It is slightly easier to snuff than most of the others even though it is very fine. Quite pleasant.

Within the hierarchy of American scotches, Honest is a somewhat neglected child. More's the pity, as this is the one scotch that I can snuff all day. If dry toasts are your main interest, you really owe it to yourself to check out this somewhat obscure Conwood offering. Yes, Honest is a close cousin to W.E. Garrett; the main difference between the two is that Honest is a little less burning and also cuts down on the metallic sharpness that the W.E. Garrett has. And *that* is why I can use Honest all day, while W.E. Garrett is only an occasional treat. Honest is no slouch in the nicotine department. Be assured that it packs the same wallop as its sharper tasting and more famous cousin. Oh, and dig that arcane logo, reminiscent of some hopelessly obscure blues 78. What's not to like about Honest?

The flavour of this one reminds me a bit of the Toque Bourbon, but milder. It´s got a very appealing flavour, BBQ like. Good nicotine, relatively easy to take for a snuff with such a fine grind. Long lasting flavour. You get more of the tobacco flavour, as the smokieness isn´t as strong, as in some others. Honest is a very fitting name for this scotch. Great with a cup of coffee.

Honest, is exactly what the name implies. It is a simple, honest, scotch snuff. Nothing really makes it stand out from other scotch snuffs, but it is still very enjoyable. The smokey flavor is rather soft, which makes it easier to use all day if you wanted to.

Very fine, very dry, very smoky and very tasty! This isn't a particularly complex snuff but it certainly is an enjoyable one. As Trout noted, it is similar to the W.E. Garrett Scotch though I find the Honest somewhat smoother. Lovely stuff!

A very enjoyable scotch. Like most of the Conwood Scotches, this one has a nice level of BBQ goodness. This is similar with the W.E. Garrett but seems to be a little cleaner in the scent. This is a very fine dry snuff with a very satisfying nicotine content. And if you like scotch snuffs or even toasts, give this one a try, you'll probably enjoy it.
