Hi everyone! im a newbie - but ive been lurking for a while now.this is a very interesting forum! with (it seems to me) great people and lots of usefull information,particularly the recomendations and reviews,and the snuff making techniques, i want to try those sometime myself.
this spanish jewel sounds absolutely lovely and i would love to get my hands on some - im in the uk so would that still be possible?
thanks again for posting such usefull information you all seem to know you tobaccos and snuffs very well, ive only been snuffing for around 2 months but i have quite a collection now;encouraged by the amounts that some of you have!as has been said,variety is whats its all about.my favoritesat the moment are molens macuba which is just wonderfull, delicate and smooth, i now have 400 g of it lol but i love anything from molens i have all of them,(apartfrom peppermint.)
i used snuff to give up smoking, very succesfully too. im a sometime user of snus also but not so much now that i have discovered snuff with the excellent varieties.i always carry two with me, macuba and GH english rose at the moment for all day use,they compliment each other very well.i would love to try some of the american snuffs but from what i can tell i can only order them in large bulk amounts - maybe ill take a punt and risk it one of these days with one or two of them, because they get great reviews on herei
i do use quite a lot because i had a heavy smoking habit and i love my nicotine,does anyone here find that they have to use more in the evening after a days use because they have used so much? or is it just me lol i know im a heavy user from what ive read on here.anyway i dont mind its not taxed in the uk so its cheaper then smoking,and its not particularly bad for you.whats not to like? oh and then theres the total pleasure of variety.anyway thought id say hi and thanks for a great forum! I received word from Pedro today that he was successful in contacting the Master Craftsman and we will have our Spanish Jewel. The pricing will be as follows and includes shipping to the continental US only (shipments elsewhere will incur actual shipping costs):

10 grams = $6.00
28 grams (1 u.s. ounce) = $11.00

Please whisper me if you would like to buy in. Once it's gone it's gone. I'm going to impose a limit of 1 oz. per person until I'm comfortable everyone who wanted some was able to buy in.

This pricing does little more than cover the cost of the snuff, containers, and shipping, therefore it is subject to change based on actual costs. I will begin accepting payment once I receive the snuff.

Quick question for Merdock or Pedro (macalpe),

Will we be recieving the Dry, or Moist version?

They are both wonderful, as due to troutstrokers kindness I recieved some samples of both versions today in the mail.

After having sampled both, I must say that the dry version is very similar to some of the american snuffs I've had, just way smoother.

While the moist in my opinion is where the Spanish Jewel really shines, not only having that great tobacco flavor with it's smoothness but, with the added moisture it becomes the first snuff of this style that I can take so easilly.

My fingers are crossed for the moist version, but if it's the dry, I'm pretty confident nobody will be disapointed....

Just read the first line of the first post and realized the Dry version of the Jewel is what is being offered. And a wonderful high quality snuff we will all be lucky to recieve....

I would gladly purchase an ounce but I will take whatever I can get a hold of. Frankly, this snuff is legendary.

I don't know yet if will be the dry or bit moist version. I will let you know on next Monday or Tuesday, when I receive the snuff.
