Now I must state that this may not be a precise review for the Toffee. I think there might have been a little cross mingling of flavors with the bulk Espresso bag that came with it. I was able to smell both snuffs through the bags even before I opened the bags. So I think the flavors might have mingled together slightly in the mail. Because I did notice there was a very slight difference in the Espresso from the bulk bag compared to what I have been using. So as a suggestion, it might be necessary to double bag each flavor on a multiple flavor order. Unless you did change the Espresso slightly or it pulled in the scent of the bag????

The initial bag aroma was somewhat of a light cocoa, creamy caramel & very light hint of vanilla (vanilla being barely noticeable) with a little Toque Original. Upon sniffing there is an immediate tone of chocolate/cocoa followed with vanilla & caramel. Immediately followed with a quick flash-over of watery spiced rum or rum soaked dried fruit & diluted whisky mix. This fades fast into a smooth buttery pecan Amaretto. After about 30-40 seconds there is a warming, relaxing feeling in the nose with a definite creamy caramel scent lingering as the initial scents fade. Summed up, the initial nose is more of a cocoa tone & the finish is creamy caramel. I did notice a definite similarity in the Toffee and the Toque Chocolate. But again, I don't know for sure if the Espresso influenced any of these flavors or not.

Now if I had to guess the flavor without knowing it, I would probably guess Pecan Pie.

But knowing the flavor you can make a connection to a Hershey's SKOR bar. (Maybe its power of suggestion)? But the connection is in the scent you get in your nose as you are chewing the candy bar.

The flavor definitely doesn't stand out as prominent as the other Toque offerings, but the flavor is there when you look for it. But as a snuff, it is an excellent snuff & I would buy it the way it is. And the fact that each person smells things differently, this might be spot on to someone else.

Your review makes this snuff sound rather tasty. I really can't wait to try this stuff. I'm also excited to try the cherry.

Cherry? Toffee? Where do you see that? I looked around in their website but couldn't find any of them.

I think your review is spot on from what I smell TS, except I am unable to pick up any cocoa in it. Who knows. You are much better at putting into words the scents in snuff.

I am smelling a pinch right now, and for me I think it is more of a sugar smell than cocoa. Caramel is a great way to describe the lingering scent but spiced slightly.

Whether toffee or not, I love this snuff and find myself reaching for it just about as often as the chocolate.

Trout, that was very rude of you to review a snuff the rest of us can't get yet!

LOL Hey, its no different than anything else in the world. Things are always reviewed before they are released. From wine & adult diapers to dill pickles & blenders!!!! :~) Wouldn't you rather know if something is good or not before you buy it?? Come on man, wheres the love.
  3.  # 12
Well we don't feel so bad now that we know you were a test subject for adult diapers.

I wish I would have seen this earlier before I made my request for sample. I would have asked for this snuff. This snuff review sounds so hot, sexy, & very erotic I want to taste it. I get the impression this review was before the official release. Troutstroker would you say the final product is the same or is there some nuance that are different?

toffee by toque is great. Not as sweet tasteing as it sounds but shockingly buttery for a powder. dfinatly a nasal snuff though I've not tried it in the lip I think it would not really taste like much that way.

It still has some of the same nuances but what has changed is that the toffee tone is much more identifiable now.

Are all Toque snuff for sniffing only? What about the Chocolate and the Expresso? Is it Dual action mult-purpose?

You would only want to sniff toque, betcha if you smelled some you would never have any interest in using it in the mouth though lol. The toffee is amazing though, I definately recomend you try it. I agree with bob, it is not near as sweet as you would picture it, but it is still obviously toffee (I wouldn't love it quite as much if it was ultra sweet).

    Hi Kim,
Glad your samples have arrived. The Ammonia smell you detect is because the Toffee was only made the day before we shipped your samples and is incredibly fresh. What most old snuffers do is empty the snuff into a snuffbox and leave it open for a few hours, if it’s really fresh like this one, it might take all day. The Chocolate was made a week before it shipped so should clear the ammonia faster.
Let me know what you think when they clear, you will get a very pleasant surprise when you go back to them.

Yeah don't be as dumb as me. When I first ordered snuff from Roderick I was very new to Snuff. It was actually my second order ever so I didn't know much. Well I left two tins, one Peanut Butter and the other Chocolate open over night! I actually left the Chocolate open for two nights. I didn't know any better then, and now both tins don't have as much flavor as I remember they once did. Live and learn I guess.

dajawu Thank you as well! I had know idea about how to let them breath. I laid them both out on separate plates for about 2 hours until I got word from the pro's.

I just got a fresh tin of this, and it is spectacular. Nice and moist and fresh. The flavor lasts a along time.
