    I was looking at Swishers home page and found 'the Swisher name includes Three Thistle, Checkerberry, Ladies Choice, Ralph's, Dixie, High Toast, Lorillard, Starr, Strawberry, Superior, and Wild Cherry.'
    I know we have talked about the Strawberry and Wild Cherry. Has anyone seen or tried the others.

    Hmm...no, I emailed customer service over there asking for a full list of Swisher snuffs a couple weeks back. The service rep didnt seem all that knowledgeable and replied with this short one liner. "We manufacturer Buttercup, Dixie Sweet, Society, Topps, Ralphs, Square, Starrs and Wild Cherry Dry Snuff products."

    I replied to that email asking if they had a catologue or a place on their website where one could find those products, but got no response. Very Curious about the High Toast now...

    I have had Ralph's, High Toast, Lorillard. I got them in small sample bags handed out at a rodeo/fair. I just received a can of Three Thistle in a trade and am still trying to find the base flavor. It is a very good sweet snuff though. I hope to be getting WIld Cherry in a week or two in another trade. I can not remember enough about the first three to write a description. I do remember Ralph's, and if I remember correctly it was very similar to Tops. They do sell Ralph's at Smoke Shack Just run a search for dry snuff.

    I emailed them some a story about my grandfather using a certain kind of their snuff and got the reply:

    "I will have a local sales rep contact you regarding your inquiry.
    Please allow 7-10 working days for a response.

    Regards,
    ::name omitted::
    Swisher International, Inc."

    I just picked a random brand and asked where I could find it, as the other posts recommended naming one. I would definitely be interested in trying all of their offerings, but the stores that do carry snuff near me only carry Conwood and US Smokeless brands. I think that they offer the snuff to as a courtesy anymore, Swisher is probably making enough to keep the Navy afloat on their cigars alone. I wish I could find more of the Conwood products near me too, their H.B. Scott Private Blend loose leaf is great, tastes just like Honey Bee smells.

    I'm guessing it's a regional thing. I live on the east coast and I've never seen any of those snuffs 'round here. I would like to try them though, but I suspect they are the same/similar to the other Swisher snuffs - for example; 'Ladies Choice' is probably the same as 'Society' - same snuff, different name.

    I know swishers Kayak moist snuff is growing pretty fast in popularity. I think it has to do with the price. Its extremely cheap. I have not tried it so I can't say how it tastes.

    Hey deficiency, Try dipping the Honey Bee, its pretty good.

    I decided to use the plastic lid instead of a knife :P not too bad though, I thought it would be really messy, but i just dumped the cap in, and by the time I was done it was a pretty solid wad of goo, little swish and rinse with the coffee and all better. I don't know if I would dip it regularly, but maybe if I ever get a bad head cold.... I don't know if I got a lot of nicotine out of it as I just took a pinch before i tried it. Might have to go cut a switch and try it like that, but I'm worried my precious stash would get "over-hydrated". It tastes like the Private Blend, but somehow different, slightly like flower, but that might be because it's such a fine powder.

    I live on the East Coast as well as Mountain Man haven't been able to find Thistle, Checkerberry, Ladies Choice, Ralph's, Dixie, High Toast, Lorillard, Starr, or Strawberry anywhere and would love to try them....I'm trying to collect all the Helme/Swisher snuffs...So if anyone knows where to get some hit me up!!!

    I too live on the east coast, at the beach in NC and I cannot find the snuffs celticsnuffer listed either. All others are sold in my neighborhood grocery store, as well as a good selection of Conwood products (man i hate those containers with the metal lids, snuff gets stale sitting on the store shelfs). I also re-emailed Swisher asking where the High Toast can be found.

    I would have figured that NC and Virginia would be a Mecca for snuffers. That's the heartland of tobacco.I just happened to be there in the days immediately after I quit smoking, and it was terrible. I was in Raleigh and Winston-Salem in march, and the big debate on the news was whether or not high schools should be smoke free :P In my imagination I see ashtrays everywhere from grade schools to doctor's offices, maybe just my altered state at the time ;)

    If they advertise it they should sell it. The Site also mentions to check their pricing out, which you can't view on-line, go figure.
    I also sent them a request as to where I may purchase these products that they advertise on their web site. Let's see how they respond.

    Yes smoking and chewing/dipping is very big, snuff not so much. Easy to find some of the more typical brands, Tube Rose, Square, Superior, Navy...but don't know of anyone who sniffs it, I think around here and in Virginia (I used to live in the mountains there) the older folk pretty much use this stuff as a dip.

    Agree BigSnoot McSnuff I live in Virginia as well everytime I go up to Luray I check as many Ma and Pop shops as I can for new brands...

    Funny you should ask. I just picked up a voice mail that was left friday for me. It is a local number so I assume it is a sales rep. and have given him a call. Now we are playing phone tag, but I will let you know as soon as I talk to him.

    Okay, talked the sales rep. for the northwest corner here in Georgia and he said that they are pretty much in limited production for certain pocket areas of the Country were sales of the top 20 brands for consumers are in demand.(The ones we are inquiring about fall below the top 20, hence no products available for purchase, at least in my neck of the woods) They can be purchased in bulk packs/cartons which have 12 pocket cans in each. He sounded as if we could maybe work a small purchase deal (without getting into tax code violations and the such as provisioned for tobacco and its sale and licensing and blah blah blah). But the best deal would be if we could get our favorite on-line Tobacconist to make the purchase for legality sake.(He did mention a couple outlets near me that have a good variety of Swisher snuffs for sale and said to check them out)

    Well we all should get in on the idea maybe send it to Mars and we can each order some from him!!!
  11.  # 21
    I'll drop Mike a line and see if he would order a case or two. There are 12 in a case. How many of you are interested in trying this if He can get it.

    I'd definatly have a High Toast on my next order, not sure about the others, but I'd be down to give them a sniff.
    Thistle kinda scares me by the name....
  12.  # 23
    Alright I dropped him a line. We'll have to wait now on an answer! After all our searching, it will probably end up tasting just like the Railroad Mills. LOL

    @Yaznaki

    Do you mean a Swisher High Toast? That sounds pretty good. Wilsons of Sharrows IHT #22 has become my all-day snuff but I'd love to try another kind just for gits and shiggles.

    Hell, I didn't even know that Swisher even MADE nasal snuff up until this thread started. I've only been snuffing (seriously at least) for around two months so there are quite a few things that I don't know :).

    cheers!

    chas, even the ones like me who have been snuffing for years are still learning new things. Its a never ending learning experience & thats half the fun!

    Yeah, I meant the Swisher High Toast, I have the F&T HDT, which has been my all day snuff now. Great stuff imho.
    It smells like tobacco and toasted bread to me.

    I'd be down for a trade if you'd be interested in trying the F&T HDT I have a 2oz tin of it, minus a few grams. I'd be interested in trying the Wilsons IHT #22
    We could swap a smashbox or something, I'm not looking to unload my tin :)

    @Troutstroker

    I really got into smoking my pipe but when I first started, I determined VERY quickly that I prefered aromatics to English blends (which is saying something as I am a proud Anglophile!) and refined my tastes quickly. I feel that I sort of missed out on alot of the magic that comes with discovering something that I really enjoyed.

    I digress.......

    I find with snuff that my interests and tastes are much broader. This has made the whole experience really fun and has become somewhat of a hobby! Not only that, but it has become a hobby that is helping me drop cigarettes whereas my pipe has not been an effective substitute as much as it has been just a pleasureable way of taking in tobacco. If I can change my tobacco consumption to include snuff and pipe tobacco only, I will be a happy (not to mention healthier) man!

    @Yaz

    Thanks man, I really appreciate the offer! That would be really cool. I really wanted to try F&T HDT but I wasn't sure I wanted to buy it in bulk right away. Lets exchange information via whisper.

    I would definitely put a Swisher High Toast in my next order from Mars if Mike can get his hands on some. I am intrigued by it.

    I will place an order for a can as well. Still have'nt popped by the local outlets yet, but I highly doubt High Toast will be on the shelve.
  15.  # 30
    Well I got an answer back from Mike and here is what he said on the matter:

    Brian: None of my usual suppliers carry this product. I've looked at the discussion on Snuffhouse and I will disagree with the salesperson to some extent. Unless, I have a wholesaler who carries the item, my wholesaler would need to get a CASE of boxes (each box with 12 tins). So the 'secret' to obtaining a case of 12 is to find one of the many regional wholesalers that carry the product. Perhaps the salesperson could provide a lead... Mike

    So it looks like we will have to find a wholesaler who carries this. Mo, I doubt you will find it there either but it is worth a look. You might find some other hard to find hidden treasure! Like some DeVoe's Eagle Scotch Snuff or Railroad Mills Maccoboy.
