n9inchnails, Neil pert was like a well oiled machine on his 150 piece trap set. Wasn't he at one time considered the best drummer in the world?
Tom Sawyer ROCKS!
That is tough to name only three, but yea, RUSH has to be on the list somewhere' As far a influencing folks, (even if you don't like the music) Grateful Dead should be included as well, imo. So I guess that leaves the Ramones for #3...
If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung,
Would you hear my voice come thru the music,
Would you hold it near as it were your own?
It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken,
Perhaps they're better left unsung.
I don't know, don't really care
Let there be songs to fill the air.
Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.
Reach out your hand if your cup be empty,
If your cup is full may it be again,
Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men.
There is a road, no simple highway,
Between the dawn and the dark of night,
And if you go no one may follow,
That path is for your steps alone.
Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.
You who choose to lead must follow
But if you fall you fall alone,
If you should stand then whos to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home.
La dee da da da, la da da da da, da da da, da da, da da da da da
La da da da, la da da, da da, la da da da, la da, da da.
A top three would be very difficult.
Beatles
Grateful Dead
Jefferson Airplane
Unfortunately, I'd be leaving out Mothers Of Invention, Pink Floyd, The Clash, The Jam, Blur, Utopia, Spencer Davis Group. Small Faces, The Byrds.......

and of course Propaganda through Propagation (which is my electronic compositions). I say of course because I was trying to make music I would think was that good. So it's kind of like having a custom band to listen too.
Hey I just turned my Girlfriend onto Siouxsie and the Banshees actualy about 6 years ago I tried to and it didn't take. Now she loves them. Strange how that happens sometimes.
I met John McGeoch many years ago. (He's sadly passed on.)
Very nice fellow and an incredible guitarist. The opening chord of "Christine" still gives me goosebumps.
Skinny Puppy, even have a tat. Drum and Bass (in general, the dark stuff) but Ed Rush and Optical are my favorite producers, and all the Front Line Assembly projects.
Too drunk to,.... write. Kidding. I love playing the "Showroom Dummy" song by Kraftwerk on a box, then leaving, it seems as if other people in this hillbilly place don't like it. Personally I have 3 albums and like about 2 songs each, but they started the "Industrial Revolution". I like your punk choices too but I can't be as old as you? 33?
Not too bad. Explains the Kraftwerk. We're you an "O.G." of punk? As a kid I hung out with punks, but was more into the goth/industrial and rave scenes. I just didn't like the "goths" or "ravers", but punks were the coolest as, like me, they just didn't give a damn.
Here's a band you might know;
Amebix. I murdered the spelling but you get the idea. "Drink and be marry, for tomorrow you may die!" "Axeman!"
Sweet! You gotta book a gig in La Crosse Wi, Minneapolis MN, and Chicago. Reminds my of early Misery whom I knew the original lead singer for. I'm also a big fan of Big-Black. Here's a link to a 2 person band which reminds me of Big-Black. I've known the drummer for 18 years. http://www.myspace.com/redpensband
I was in an industrial band for awhile, I didn't play, but I produced and programed all the synth voices. I still DJ as a hobby.
Maybe Smashing Pumpkins meets Big Black. A good buddy of mine was roomates with the bass player for thrill kill cult. There all crack-heads. Red Pens drummer is hot! I've been flirting with her since I was 15. She doesn't look it but she's 36, she's aging like a fine wine.

My tastes vary. Some days it's metal up your ass, some days it's chilling reggae...
Honorable mention Volbeat, like social d, hooked up with metallica to jam... Great band, they need more u.s. exposure.
