Worked late, only snuff I had on me was Willsons Special Menthol which I am not all the keen on. So filling up pretty quickly with a glass of Champagne (left over from Christmas, a small bottle that only filled one glass!) and Toque Chocolate, Cafe Royale, and O&G.

Working on some Ozona Orange with a super chilled bottle of Rip Roarin' Red Ale. I was waiting for the 'bitter beer face' with this combination but it goes surprisingly well together.

Rip Roarin' Red -- Very good microbrew, give it a try if you can find it.

I took Singleton Menthol and Ozona Raspberry this morning. Btw. does snuff amplify effects of alcohol on yoz? It does on me, so I get usually drunk little bit faster than my friends...
  1.  # 154
No snuff does not amplify the alcohol effects, but does add to the enjoyment of it.

Started today off with some Packard's Club, it had been sitting in my collection collecting dust and thought I'd give it some attention today.

Mmmm....DeKralingse Peppermint....and here I am at work and didn't bring any today.

Just took a big pinch of Prins Regen, and just looked on Mars because I was starting to get a bit low and wanted to order more...seems Mars is no longer carrying DeKralingse Prins Regen OR Macouba....gonna have to start going easier on those two so I don't run out any time soon.

Oh no, I was really wanting to try those next time I made an order with mars. What a dissapointment!!
  4.  # 160
I don't think it was selling that well BrianC, my last order of Macouba and Prins Regen from Mars was a bit more dried out than usual making me think it had been sitting on the shelf for awhile.

Well the good thing is that I'm just going to have to track down another way to get them, which could mean getting them in the original containers. I don't care for the 5g smashboxes they are just a little too small (I tend to make a mess with them), the bigger ones are fine though.

I wonder if I can order straight from the windmill...If I could I think I would be ordering all of their selections. I just had my last pinch of a/p which I had been saving for quite a while (just wasn't ready to part with it yet) and I am reminded of how amazing it is.

@ xsys, It seems to enhance the effects of alcohol for me too. I snuffed the other day with some white wine and after two or so glasses i was feeling decidely worse for wear. usually i can drink more and feel little.

I know this isnt a proper study lol, but perhaps the light headed feeling combined with alcohol means ur not actually drunker, just feel as though you are...i'm not sure if that makes sense
  8.  # 168
Well the nicotine can increase the heart beat & change your blood pressure & that could have some effect?? You can take big repetitive snuffs and it will warm you up when your cold.

Used some of the Conwood Peach earlier & now onto Tranters Regency.

that seems to makes sense physiologically trout. A faster heartbeat and higher blood pressure would mean quicker delivery of alcohol in the blood to the brain, much like drinking faster gets u drunk more...? perhaps??

ps. i cant wait to expand my collection of snuff. if i kept posting in this thread i'd just have to keep saying, "just some more SG kendal brown" :) i really am enjoying this one as an all day snuff. then home to crumbs of comfort in the evening

I've got some work to do so I need some power. Probably Poeschl Harvard. Menthol keeps me awake and it's pretty strong. And there is a white tea on my table, which also helps and goes great with menthol snuffs.

I thought this will have something to do with that. I recognize power of snuff by how quickly it boosts my heart beat. But alcohol(CH3-CH2-OH) never reaches your brain. It reaches your liver where is transformed into acetaldehyde(CH3-CHO) which is the poison and causes the hangover effect. Though liver blood circuit is one of main cardiovascular circuits it's still a longer way from your mouth to liver and then to brain than from your mucosa in nose to brain.

Sorry, if some terms are wrong. I'm not using them in my everyday english conversation.

I took one more pinch of Harvard today and started to analyze what's the aroma like. Well I could smell columbian oil, menthol and citrus aroma. But there's something more what I can't recognize. Does somebody know?

A little while ago I took my own snuff. Now I'm thinking of Lowen Prise.

xsys - I've never heard of this Poschl - Harvard, where did you acquire this snuff, it sounds interesting...
  9.  # 174
McChyrstals OG and Tom Buck pretty much all day long. On the bourbon now, so gonna switch to HDT.
  10.  # 175
I think Harvard maybe the same as Gletscherprise, like Johnny Apricot & Gawith Apricot. Since he did mention columbia oil.

@Poo-Diddy> to be honest I can remember. Maybe Poland. I always buy my snuff in a stone shop. I'll make a photo and post it here in the morning.

@Troutstoker> No, it's little bit different from Gletscher Prise. I cannot smell any citrus in GP, but there is definitly this flavour in Harvard. And harvard is more smokey.
  11.  # 177
    @xsys, maybe Bayern-Prise then???
  12.  # 178
No citrus in Bayern Prise that I recall. That was my favorite commercial snuff before I got in to making my own.

Yeah, I've tried a bunch of the Poschl offerings and have yet to come across anything with a citrus undertone to it.

That is why my interest has been peaked by this rare Poschl-Harvard you have....

Menthol and citrus being 2 of my favorite things in a snuff....
