Not as impressive as Troutstroker, but this is what I've got at the moment.

macalpe, do you know who was the producer?

Onefortheroad, I like your wood snuff boxes, very nice. And is that a flask funnel?
  3.  # 34
Filek, here are some photos of the Italian snuff so you can get a better look.

  4.  # 35
Yeah Troutstroker, that is a flask funnel. I find it to be the easiest way to get snuff into the bullet. I just fill the funnel and then tap until it all falls in the bottle. Thanks for noticing my snuff boxes. The one in the front is my favorite. I made it from a piece of hickory from a cabinet door that my wife rejected when I put in a new kitchen. It's got a 1907 Indian head penny inlaid into the lid. Also, I've made some more of these boxes out of poplar and oak with various wood inlays. I'll start a thread and post a picture and see if anyone wants to buy one.
  5.  # 36
I thought that was an Indian head on there but couldn't tell exactly. To bad its not a 1909 S VDB penny.
I would be interested in seeing your other boxes.

Filek, I see you have Swedish Match Rumney's Export. Can you tell me about it? Do you like it?

It's not one of my favorites, but I like it. The snuffbox is really great. When you first see it it looks like made for wood, but when you look closer...it's plastic. In my opinion that's really something. The aroma of Rumneys is someting like a "tea medicated" which is very good.

Mine's a little one. I've been snuffing for about two years now. But, for those two years I was a starving college student so my collection was generally small, and remains small. So far I've enjoyed the F&T the most of all of these present. I'm looking for suggestions on what to order next. I like the Old Paris, and I enjoy 'English' pipe tobaccos, especially Esoterica Tobacciana's Penzance. So, what should I look for next?

Well welcome to the forum TheLong, from what you say you like I might suggest Lotzbeck Premium Mild or maybe Bernard Brasil FEINST or some of the Dutch Windmill/ De Kralingse snuffs.

    Thanks for the welcome.

I just placed an order with Marscigar and I went with:
    Dutch Windmill - Latakia
    F&T – Santa Domingo
    Bespoke – Stephan’s Tipple
    Wilson’s of Sharrow – Strasbourg
    Dean Swift – Inchkenneth
    Bernard – Brasil FEINST

Pretty excited to get a decent variety. You can tell by my little sort there that there isn't much in my area other than Poschl. The F&T, and the WoS had to be ordered

Good choices. I enjoy all of those. If you haven't ordered from Mars before, he always throws in a free sample.

By the way, I would like to thank all the people from this forum who helped me gather so many difficult to find snuffs. Thank you Alex, omegapd, Andy and Namrata!

I don't have much yet, but here's my little collection:

Onefortheroad was inquiring about the little boxes I acquired at a local market, you can take a look here. The elephant one contains Spearmint Plus, and the other one has a moon and stars and contains a blend of 1 part Ozona Cherry to 2 parts Wilson's Cherry Menthol. The little artifact on the box is a snuff spoon my wife made me out of silver. It's very very basic right now, but we're gonna make it better soon :). The McChrystal's (red box) is Violet Snuff, one of my favorites.

    Samorost,
My daughter is a big elephant fan, I'm sure she'd swindle that one from me.
How do you like that gold label?

    onefortheroad,

I'm also big on elephants. Perhaps I can go back to the market and fish you a box for her?

Gold Label... hmm, well I actually don't like it much. It came in a little "Wilson's gift pack" with 5 other flavors (including Best SP which is the same flavoring on a different tobacco). I found it mild and interesting, but not "fresh" enough for me. On the other hand, I'm a big fan of Crumbs of Comfort.
  9.  # 49
Ohhh no. The last thing my daughter needs is more elephant stuff. (a similar one was pointed out to me and went for $2 US this morning on ebay).
I was curious how the SP compared to Gold, being the same flavoring. And the Gold being American tobaccos in an English product kind of surprised me.

It was more than a month ago and I've been snuffing more than I remember, so...

Best SP was a darker tobacco than Gold Label (Virginia). I can't remember the blend it had but it was smoother and just ever-so-slightly coarser than Gold Label. Out of a 6-tin sample from Wilson's (consisting of Gold Label, Best SP, SM 500, Aniseed Extra, Lemon Grove and Prime Minister), Gold Label is the only one that remains. That would speak about how often I partook in it.

I'll be sure to rush out and not get some.

Alright, so I've received my order from Mars today. He included a sample of IHT #22 which is, alright.

So far I think I like the Santo Domingo and the Dean Swift Inchkenneth the best. The Strasbourg is pleasant as well. While none of these snuffs are by any means repulsive, I think the Brasil FEINST and the Latakia 1860 will take a bit of getting used to.

    Lukin,

How do you like the Bayern-Prise? Is it much like the other Pöshl snuffs? I'm having a party this evening, but I'll try and get a photo together and posted before my friends show up to drink all my booze. If it doesn't happen tonight, I'll get around to it tomorrow. I love the photo's guys, it's nice to see other's collections.

    Aloha,
    Justin

I've only been using snuff for about a month and this is my stash so far:

The two large tins at the upper left (in case you can't read it) are G. Smith & Sons' Cafe Royale. Top and center is a large tin of Wilsons of Sharrow Vanilla. Below that is the Wilsons Rum and Blackberry. Below that is a tiny tin of McChrystal's Raspberry (which I love and need to order A LOT more of). The two tins at the top right are Samuel Gawith Kendal Banana. The rest I'm sure you all can recognize from just the containers. My snuff box currently has a mixture of equal amounts of Wilsons Vanilla and Gawith Hoggarth Strawberry with just a small dose of Poschl Gletscher Prise. It's an interesting mixture, but not bad.

So far my favorite would have to be the Ozona Cherry, which I really didn't like at first. The menthol sort of put me off a bit. Now I can't seem to get enough of it. The raspberry is a close second.

My next order will contain at least one of each (maybe more) of the following:

-Poschl Schmalzler A, Schmalzler SF Sudfrucht, Mac Craig Royal, Alpina, Radford, more Gawith cola and Apricot, a butt-load of Ozona Cherry and Snuffy Weiss.

-McChrystal's Raspberry, Apricot, Anisette, S'nuff and Stammheimer Hopfen Schnupf.

    -Lotzbeck Vanilla

-A nice Latakia of some kind

    "That Lowen-Prise, how is it?"

If you're really into black licorice (like I am) and you don't mind the initial hit of menthol that Poschl is so well known for, then you'll really enjoy this stuff. Especially once the menthol wears off.

    Satyr,

I've been snuffing for about the same amount of time as you have and my collection is nowhere NEAR as large as yours. I have to say that your collection is quite impressive and it's not just quantity but quality as well. I've tried about 25% of the snuffs in your collection and I am interested in trying the others. The Lowen-Prise looks especially good to me as I'm a big fan of black licorice. I am a big fan of the Ozona Raspberry. It was the first snuff that I ever tried and I didn't like it as much as the Gawith Apricot (the second snuff I tried). I got kind of burnt out on the Apricot and revisted my tin of Raspberry and realized how good of a snuff it really is. Bespoke Christmas Joy is my favorite when I have it but when I don't (I sniff through my tiny smashbox preeeeetty quickly), I like to take the Ozona Raspberry as my morning snuff with my first cup of coffee and my Wilsons of Sharrow IHT #22 as my all day snuff.

Anyhow, your collection is impressive and I hope mine will be able to rival it within the next couple of months here! b ^_^ d

Is the Cafe-Royale as awesome as I have been led to believe it is?

Yes :) In fact, I just wrote a review of it in the already existing Cafe Royale thread.
