This is what I've accumulated in the past month and a half or so...not a bad start, huh? :-)

The large green container is my own blend of Cornell and Diehl's Crooner pipe tobacco (Burley and Deer Tongue). You can't see it, but there's about 10 cans of Red Seal in the back thanks to those free coupons some of us received. After the next order from Mars comes in, I think I'll be set for awhile. LOL.

Anybody else want to share any pics?

These pictures are about 1 year old, I now have about 125 different snuffs on hand. (My wife thinks I'm out of control, but I love the variety.)

Does keeping the snuff in the freezer not cause problems? I know that with coffee and chocolate the freezer (especially auto defrosting ones) causes condensation to form on the inside of packaging and spoils them. I assume that snuff is exempt from this phenomenon.

I wouldn't keep a dry snuff in the actual freezer part just to be safe, but the regular fridge is fine. Back when I used to chew Copenhagen on a regular basis, I would buy the 10 pack rolls and keep them in freezer. It never tasted better than right out of the freezer and would stay fresh forever. The fridge works well with longleaf chew as well. Before I bought my hinged lid latch top containers for my snuff, I used to keep my snuff in the fridge.

Well this is a representative of my collection. Is not a good picture because the system does'nt allowed me to put another with 1.3 Megas.

Well part of the slogan for Marmite is "love it or hate it". I'm stuck in the middle. It has its place but wouldn't want it all the time.

I could quite happily wallow in Marmite, its gorgeous stuff, but it is true you love it or hate it. Not much middle ground.

Here's my little collection I have in use right now. Gave away some to my friends, because of lack in space.

Ordered some American Snuffs from my sister, while she's travelling to NY and I hope she can find some Snuff there?

Well I finally got motivated to pile up my snuff and take a pic. Levi Garrett Scotch & Rappee snuff, Stoker's Plain, Rooster Scotch and Spanish Jewel being my favorite right now, dry, fine and plain. Along with Toque Espresso being my favorite scented snuff at the moment.

Phiuh! Great collection Troutstroker - really. But aren't some of the tobaccoes going off? or do you take THAT much every day? : )

    Greetings

What do you mean by "going off"?

I did split the snuff in the big white tubs with Pedro right in half. So they are only half full with 1 pound in each one. I need to get more latch lid canisters to store it in and get it out of those tubs so it keeps fresh.

And yes I do take a lot every day. Basically from the time I wake in the morning until I go to bed. Some of these I use all the time and some are once in awhile snuffs.

I meant that they maybe become bad after some time. Bad like they loose their taste etc. Ok but your post explanes how you keep them fresh - That was my question.

Well I guess for about 15 years now since I started. But nothing is really older than about 1 year or so. When I run out of something I replace it. I don't ever need to place big orders just small ones of about 6 or so to replenish stock. Usually make an order about once a month. Of course the free Swisher was the exception.

Hey Troutstroker, what's that blue snuff near Manjul called?

With the permission of our fellow friend Troutstroker , I will let you the answer to your question : the blue pouch is a disapeared Italian snuff called Santo Antonino. Was a dry and plain snuff made at South Italy at the traditional Italian/Spanish manner. Pure tobacco, smooth and sweet, but with a plain tobacco flavour at the same time, very fine grinding as well. Maybe slightly smoother than American snuffs, id est, not similar than common European snuffs.
