I haven't seen any comments (aside from Roderick's) on Toque Tobacco's new Chocolate and Menthol snuffs, and both of them deserve attention. I received both in the mail today, and found a free refill of the chocolate snuff included. This I am now sure I will be using. Thank you, Roderick!

The menthol snuff is by far the easiest snuff I have ever taken. The first time I sniffed it, I just took a deep inhale with the bullet to my nose. There was no burning, sneezing, or coughing at all; but the flavor was slight, which surprised me, given Toque's other tobaccos. The second time, I sniffed sharply from the bullet. The menthol kick was immediate, wonderful, and full - definitely the way to take this snuff.

The chocolate snuff is also wonderful. It has a very slight burn and the fullest flavor I have found in a snuff. Roderick described it in his thread as "A strong, dark, rich chocolate with a slight tickle/burn and just the subtlest hint of tobacco." That description is right on. I will add that it is deeper, richer, and darker than I had thought possible. If this snuff were an actual chocolate, it would be one of those super-expensive little ones about the size of your fingernail that still manage to contain more fat than a fully grown hog. The flavor also lasts: forty minutes after taking it, I was standing outside and caught a faint whiff of chocolate.

I highly recommend both of these snuffs.

    Hi Merdock69,
Should be with you next week. For interest I have just been introuced to another Toque combination. When you get your order, try 2 parts Espresso and 1 part chocolate; to get "Cafe Mocha" it's incredibly smooth.

Ok, just tried the chocolate, and I've got the biggest grin on my face from it... Roderick, that is incredible! You captured it perfectly. Being a wine guy you have GOT to try a dessert wine called Trentadue NV Chocolate Amore, the flavors are dead on in both the wine and your snuff. You can get it here http://www.wine-club-central.com/detail.aspx?ID=5670

Hi every one, I've been reading these forums for a few days now gathering information on all the different kinds of snuff, but I just registered today because I need to say that the Torque Chocolate snuff is an amazing blend! It fully captures the dark and deliciously creamy aspects of fine chocolates, yet still maintains a strong tobacco feeling.

Roderick you did a great job with this blend and you'll be sure to see more of my business! I can't wait to try all of your different blends.

Merdock69, I live within 2 hours of Geyserville where this wine is grown. Made and sold in the Napa Valley at Trentadue Winery. I have been to this WInery about 2 years ago but have not tried Chocolate Amore. Thats one thing I really love about the region I live in. I am only 20 minutes away from over 100 Wineries in Amador, Calaveras and El Dorado County. I go wine tasting at least a couple times a month. But wine tasting is just an organized way of getting drunk for free. Have you tried any wines from one of these Counties?

For the very best desert wine you will ever experience try Black Muscat from Charles Spinetta WInery. They use a rare variety of Muscat Hamburg grapes from Germany. Only 75 acres in all of California. This is the very best Black Muscat I have every experienced. Everyone who I have given a taste of this wine to has fallen in love with it. It also goes great on top of Vanilla or Coconut ice cream. Also in Tea, they recommend Hibiscus Tea.

For the best Port try Ruby Port from Windwalker Vineyards.

I will try the Chocolate Amore since they do sell it locally here. They also sell it direct from Trentadue Winery

Thanks Troutstroker, Chocolate Amore is my wife's annual Valentine gift. My grandparents live in Arroyo Grande, CA so we visit the central coast about once every two years. That's the only wine country we're familiar with and have experience with tastings in.

My favorite combo is with chocolate amore poured on top of a very small scoop of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream placed on top of a medium sized piece of no sugar (all natural) apple pie... The flavors compliment, don't compete, and there isn't enough sugar to overpower the chocolate or tannins in the wine...

Arroyo Grande is a nice place to call home. The Old Village of Arroyo Grande is very similar to our local towns. The old gold rush towns with the historic main street still alive today. With new shops and antique stores in the old buildings of main street. Very different to the Eastern states that have a town square rather than a main street. Real Estate was to valuable back then with gold so they didn't want to waste development on gold rich ground.

The good news is the postal strike is finished, can you let me know when you guys get your orders. I need to know when we can get back to normal. The bad news is we have sold out of Toque chocolate and it's going to be at least a week til we get some more bottled and ready to go. All orders for chocolate placed before the 12th are on there way.

Good news Roderick, I received my order today (Monday). I have only tried the Chocolate so far and it is SUPERB!!!!! Reminds me of when I was a kid and my grandma always gave me a glass of chocolate milk made with rich, chocolatey Ovaltine when I came to visit. This is good memory.

I finally got my Toque Chocolate in the mail today. I'm still getting used to the bullet format, but the snuff itself is wonderful!

    Thanks Roderick!

Thanks for all the great reviews. You won't be surprised to hear we are selling 2.2 Chocolate to every 1 of our other flavours.
    Keep Toqueing.

Toque and Toke are two different things. (One gives you a smile, the other gives you an "illegal smile")

    Thanks Merdock,
Glad to hear the orders are starting to get through. The UK postal strike ended last Wednesday, but still post is late in reaching customers. Funnily, USA customers are getting their orders before UK customers.

Yesterday I received my tins of Toque Chocolate and Espresso. As usual Rodericks service was superb, thank you as always my friend for this.

Well I think Willy Wonka would go weak at the knees if he tried this snuff. Absolutely a winner. I have not opened the Espresso yet but I know that I am in for another delight when I do.

On behalf of everyone who takes snuff Roderick, can I once again thank you for your wonderful products, and great service. It really is wonderful to get this kind of service in today's modern world.

Once again, I can state with all honesty that (for me anyhow) I won't be using any other brands from now on! I just don't see the need.
