Color: Dark Brown Texture: Granular Moisture: Fairly Dry Tin Aroma: Cherry Menthol
I'm really surprised that this is the first review of this brand on this forum (that I could find at least). People say the same recipe is marketed in Europe and other places as Red Bull but having never tried the Bull, I can't say for sure. I can definitely see this being a "Love it or Hate it" blend. My wife sniffed the top of the box and said it smelled exactly like a Luden's Cherry cough drop and that's about right. It's straight forward Menthol/Cherry, which is a very agreeable mixture for me in most forms. I used to eat the Luden's drops like candy growing up. The taste/aroma of real tobacco is non-existant and it's fairly mild, with a slight "bite" compared to other snuffs I've used that aren't cased as heavily. I'm a sucker for real tobacco flavor, so this doesn't fit my tastes perfectly, but it's well made and enjoyable for what it is. I've had worse and plan to use this 10g can up and we'll see if it grows on me more.
Nice review, very well described. I have not yet had the pleasure but may consider this one in the future. If you like cherry and menthol I am well pleased with Ozona Cherry. Wilsons Cherry is also good but not as sweet as Ozona Cherry... Both worth trying though. It sounds like I would probably want to grind the bull into a finer powder though.
My experience with this snuff was horrible. One of the most putrid snuffs I have ever used. There has been reviews on this snuff Chief Bull reviews and Jeff's review nailed it when he wrote, Menthol plus a fake, plastic-like fruit flavor (think red twizzlers). Or Merlin228 who wrote, I equate it to snuffing swizzle sticks, or dried ground fruit stripe gum.
