    Hi All,

Just wanted to share a picture of my one and only snuff bottle. This came from an e-buddy about 10 years ago during a trade for some pipe tobacco and pipes. His name was Clem and he was an American Missionary in Mongolia. At the time, I never intended to use snuff and just thanked him for it...funny how times change, huh? ;-)

It's mainly all home made. The bottle and cap are stone and the cap has a small spoon attached to it with what looks to be a small strip of medical gauze. It's held up over the years and only had to be fixed once when I dropped it and the orange stone came off the metal cap. Crazy Glue works wonders. LOL

Nice. From the wood grain it looks about the same height as an American snuff tin???? Is the spoon made from copper or steel rod????

Tabasco, Tapatio, Grays and other hot sauce bottles make great snuff bottles. The snuff rockets screw right onto them. You just have to clean them out real well unless you want to dance a jig every time you hit the rocket. Also works great without the rocket attached.

    Troutstroker,

It's a bit smaller than the snuff tins and the spoon is copper. Here's a couple more pics. I felt like playing with the digi-cam today...

Thanks, Pedro, for your comment also.

Very NICE!!! Thanks for the detailed look. I have an uncle who can make just about anything. I think I will show him this and see what he can invent, He is somewhat of a genius. If he works anything out I will post for you.

Also... Great tip on the Tabasco bottles... I HAVE TONS OF THOSE.

The 50ml. airline liquor bottles work well too & they're unbreakable. Leaving a few drops in the bottle to flavour your snuff isn't a bad idea either.

I did try one before with plastic Crown Royal 50ml. I liked the bottle because it was pancake shaped and fit nice in the pocket. I did have one problem when I left it in the car, by the end of the day the hot plastic gave the snuff a funny taste but it was still useable. Maybe mine just had cheap plastic. But it was a good snuff bottle, nice pocket size and unbreakable.
