It will be enjoyable to explore this selection of snuffs. I'm looking to add another few snuffs to my bulk supply, which is currently WoS Grand Cairo, Irish High Toast #22, and Tom Buck. Based on my preliminary findings, I'm thinking Toque Original and/or SP Extra may be ordered in 200g bags in the near future !

More Berwick Brown arrived today from Toque, and a big bag of N. Rustica :D

I'm looking forward to grinding some of that down and trying it.

From MSS came various pipe tobaccos - GH Best Brown No 2, Robert McConnell Scottish Flake and Germain's Brown Flake.
From an Ebay win came a Peterson Kinsale XL15 pipe for much less than half price :)
Plus a 50g pouch of Amphora thrown in for free. What a bargain that was!

If i can refrain from putting all those in my pipe and smoking them I'll have to keep some back, dry it out, grind it up and see how it snuffs. Someone on one the pipe forums reckons that the plain Virginia flake tobaccos make good (if expensive) snuff. We'll see.

Just picked up the following at the PO box from Mr. Snuff. Again, I'm amazed at the USPS. This package left NY on Wednesday and made it to central Washington state by Saturday morning. Not bad.

Now seriously snuff venders and manufacturers (that means you Roderick). Please take a break from creating new snuff, and/or adding new items to your inventory. I have signed up for snuff buyers anonymous and I fully intend to kick my habit of compulsively buying every new snuff that comes around. I mean at this rate I'm already sitting on several years worth of snuff. I only use maybe 10 grams a week.

The Venter's I was impressed with. The Taxi Menthol is weird, the Singletons Super Menthol is weak in menthol, the Singletons Original Super Menthol is good(and dry). The Babtons Blue, Taxi Red, I would equate with NTSU.

Pieter- tell us what you think of these. I was impressed with the Venter's. The Babaton's, I found to be very similar to the other coarse grind moist plain S.African snuffs.

@tom502, I agree with you. The Venter's is quite nice and I will keep some of it for myself. What makes it different from the other menthols I have is the clear camphor aroma. It's soft on the nose, "cool", refreshing and, believe it or not, more ish. I can recommend this one.

The Babaton's not bad but yes, it's almost like Taxi. I will keep a tin for myself to try again later on. But I know there will be some of our members who will like it. So get a tin, this might turn out to be your favourite snuff!

The rest of this big order will go to my friend the tobacconist in trade for some damaged cigars and snuff.

I pretty much liked all the S. African snuffs I just got. The venters was tops, but I also enjoyed the others. But, having wet my mucous membranes on NTSU a few weeks ago, nothing was a big surprise. To me the Taxi menthol is very similar to NTSU, but a lot easier to take. I was a little surprised by the Singletons original. I had previously tried their English menthol that Rajeks carriers and this one is in no way similar. I really like it though and there seems to be a hint of spearmint in there as well.

The only bad thing about these snuffs is they are pretty inconvenient to use in public. Unlike McChrystals or Wilsons et al., which I can snuff discreetly, these African snuffs are so course and heavy they are apt to fall out of your nose and onto your shirt.

I've had an interesting day. After skipping work to help my mom boost her car, i ended up blowing the rest of the afternoon off. Picked a few things up while I was in the city, came home to supper.....but nothing in the mail.

Well, I'm new to snuff, so I placed an order to try a few out. Poschl Ozona Spearmint, President, Toque Coke, and Brutons. All I can get my hands on around here are a couple scotch snuffs and am really looking forward to some of the less harsh. I know brutons is a harsh one, but a few years ago I came across some and totally did it all wrong (snorted it deeply). Now that I know how to do it properly, I can't wait to appreciate what snuff has to offer. I already am looking into placing a larger order.

Consistent with my new, 'keeping it tight,' I only ordered 450g Queens and 25g Hops from Mr. Snuff, 2lb 1792 from Mars. Might be a little trouble when those schmalzlers get out of customs though, so I need to practice discipline!

Yay! The walk to the mailbox after work was worth it today. (Snowing like mad) My nicotinerush order came in, with some Indian snuffs, American sweets and scotches. I lucked out in a wilsons gift pack too! Burgundy, Menthol plus, and S.M. Blue are all new too me, Chocolate Orange Ice Liquorice and Strawberry are welcomed too. That Blueberry is nice, but it has to grow on you. Don't expect candy-like fruit flavors from Toque. They are more subtle, as Roderick has a policy of not using artificial flavorings.

Thanks Guys! I really need to slow down though. I already have around 140 snuffs not counting this one. I really enjoy trying different snuffs from around the world. I'm sinking alot of money into this hobby but loving every minute of it. These order here is one of the smallest orders I ever made. I keep telling myself, OK this is enough I have plenty and I won't buy any more till I go though some of these. But I always see something or read about something interesting then I tell myself I better make a big order to make the shipping worth it. lol But really after the new (well new to us here in the U.S) poschls and bernards get here I will make one more order then that will be it for a very long time. I hope so anyway! (I heard those words before) lol
