Thanks for the aniseed info, guys. Now I know where to look. Fennel? Hmmm... I think I like fennel, or it might have been something else on my roommates spice rack that I liked. I think it was fennel, though.
Just got an order from Nicotinerush in the mail. As always, I feel like a kid in a candy store. Just tried the Three Thistle Scotch, and am enjoying it very much. Like thistles of nicotine goodness right into my nasal cavity. Sounds unpleasant, but I assure you it is not.

F&T Bordeaux and J R Justice. I love them both, but I prefer the latter.

Whew, I just did a snort of W.E. Garrett Scotch Snuff. Out of curisoity, I wet my finger and got a little on it, and put it in my mouth... I just don't know if I can put this stuff in my mouth. But I have read this is how most Americans takes this scotch(aka dry snuff). Can't wait till my Mr Snuff order comes, I am hoping tomorrow.

@AP - Does it taste like banana to you? I like the stuff, but I wouldn't say it's really banana-ish. Can't really put my finger on what it does taste like though.

OK, I did try that W.E. Garrett in the mouth. Just to see what it was like/taste like etc. I was not pleasurable. It was hard to "control" the fine powder, and just got a mud mess all over my teeth, and some in my gum area. I did spit and spit. I rinsed and tried again, to try and get it better, but it was about the same. I let it sit for a bit, and spit, but after a short while, rinsed, brushed, got a glass of orange juice, and did a nasal snoot of Jaxons Cherry Menthol.

Tom502 I can't believe anybody uses WE in the lip. I tried some american scotch in the lip and my reaction was YUCK. I will stick with cope or grizzly.

I am down to 1 or 2 grams of Spanish Gem. I should have gotten a 25g.
That is in my nose tonight.

I too wish I had gotten the large tin of Spanish Gem. Oh well.

Right now I've got Poschl's Kloster Andechs in my nose. The taste is somewhat similar to Chief Bull, with Licorice/Anise added. It's got some menthol to it, but not too much. Quite good.

Thanks to a tip from a fellow forum member, I found that peppermint snuff is great for clearing you up if you've got a cold. Before that I just used heavy menthol snuffs, but the peppermint works much better. Just a suggestion for ya.

Edit - I just had a big pinch of Toast & Marmalade and it tasted like Froot Loops. It's never tasted like that before, which is kinda weird. Maybe I just need to go to bed.

Just did a couple of pinches of Rockit Cherry Pop. It's not as good as the Jaxons I have. Kinda oddness about it. Does have a cool menthol effect. Not bad, but the Cherryness isn't very cherry.

Funny you should mention that leman, I have been using Toque Peppermint this morning and it has really unclogged me. Good call!

Currently comparing the Kendal Browns from Gawith Hoggarth, Samuel Gawith and F&T. All three are pleasurable, but quite different. The F&T one is too floral with too little tobacco flavour and a tendency to hit my throat; the Gawith Hoggarth one is quite dry and burns a little, but is a bit more earthy and tobaccoey; the Samuel Gawith one is moist and much coarser and has more leather and old wood notes. I think the SG KB wins today.

After doing the Rockit Cherry Pop a few more times, it is really very good. I don't know why, but after 1st opening it, it seemed different, but now it is even better, maybe air? The cherry is more prominent now as well. But anyway, this snuff is really good, and one I could do all day, probably will. One thing it seems to me, is these imported(as an American) nasal snuffs do seem to have a deeper body, and heft about them, I guess it's moisture. You can almost just put it to your and just drag it in, compared with the dust type American snuff, which is bone dry.

Been playing with some new blends lately after a long awaited financial drought. Kloster Andechs, Radford, MacCraig Royal, Alpina, Medictaed no.99, Toque Champagne and Xmas Pudding, and Molen's A/P. Also got a long overdue restock on some Toque Original and a few other badly missed favorites. I was really jonesing for that Toque Original. Life is good again.

Started the day with a few pinches of "Jip!";I can handle it better now, but it puts the "kick" in kickstarting my day! O&G for the work day, now Wilson's Gold Label to wind down, probably F&T Morlaix to finish.

Molens Latakia Ao 1860, I just about filled up my nose with this lovely snuff. Once I've started on it, I can't stop!! Good nicotine hit too.

A whole lotta F&T High Dry Toast. It's like snuffing velvet.
I've also been enjoying, in my equivalent of moderation, Dolhakia Kamal and Gawith Hoggarth Jasmin.

Wilsons of Sharrow Camphor and Mild. Like an unmentholated version of O&G. Not much kick to it. Pleasant though. What's the G&H Jasmin like gilgawulf? I was thinking of buying some with my next order. I have tried a few G&H snuffs before and have found them a bit dry and insipid.

Well, it stays for a while... for a good long while. It doesn't stay with you as long as the Kamal does, but it certainly does linger. That's one of the main things I like about it.
There is a bit of dry soapiness at first (again, not nearly as much as with the Kamal), but the scent of jasmine is very distinct and very palpable. Once it's settled it smells sort of like... for lack of a better analogy, a flower garden in springtime.
I'm don't know what snuffs you usually go for, and I don't know if you've ever tried the Kamal that I've been using as a reference point, but I will venture to say that at two dollars the ten gram can isn't too much of a risk.
