A buddy of mine from work commented on getting sweaty palms after taking a hit of snuff. I hadn't noticed, but after he mentioned that, I found that I get sweaty palms also. Is that common, or are we just freaks? :^P

Well I certainly wouldn't say you are freaks, but I have been checking my palms since I read this and have not noticed anything. It makes sense though, nicotine is a stimulant that will get your blood flowing so to say, which I imagine would cause your body temperature to rise a bit. Sometimes if I am really stuggling to stay awake at work and I drink too many energy drinks I find myself sweating profusely.

well nicotine does a lot of things. Not so much from snuffing but definitely notice when dipping that my sinuses drain and I get cotton mouth so its a lot like sudafed!

I found this kind of odd. I'm not a nicotine newb. I've smoked for over 25 years, with more than 20 of those being unfiltered RYO cigarettes. I've also used snus for over a year now, and I never noticed sweaty hands. They aren't dripping or anything :^D, but they feel kind of tacky. I don't care for the sensation, but it's not bad enough to stop using snuff :^)

I thought of that. I tend to primarily use menthols, but I haven't noticed if it's with non menthol snuff also. I don't have any allergys that I'm aware of... Maybe it's from some kind of endorphin rush. Some of the menthols are heavy hitters, Hedges... :^O

are you nerveous when you snuff?

I had never noticed anything until today. I was using snus and noticed that my palms were bizarrely sweaty. I wasn't nervous or doing anything unusual. I've never noticed that with snuff but now I'll pay attention.

I believe it is the stimulant property of nicotine. Sometimes when I use a lot of nicotine all at once, I experience the same thing. A friend of mine uses Adderall (another stimulant) and has sweaty hands all the time.

I once made the mistake of having two venti Starbucks filter coffees in a row accompanied by large quantities of snuff. I was a sweaty mess after that session - including my palms !
