I have a friend in Florida that just found out a few days ago that his house isn't insured. He recently moved out of state but decided to rent the house. He mentioned renters to the wrong person and it appears that his insurance company doesn't insure rentals and dropped him on the spot. He immediately found a new insurance company but you can bet they won't cash his check until the storms are past.
