Along with everything else, I Ordered tubes of Peach, W.E. Garret & Sons, and Buttercup.

First off, the packaging leaves something to be desired. Cardboard Tubes with metal tops.....BLEACK!!!!!!!!!

All 3 were Identical to me. Light brown in color, very fine grind, low nicotine content, and bland, bland, band. Buttercup did have a hint of flavor.....time will tell. I need to get into them more, to make a decision. As of right now.... I give garret, and peach 0 of 10 nostrils, and Buttercup, .5 out of 10.

I DID try a little bit of W.E. Garret back when I was in the Middle East, a fellow soldier from the Deep South, Alabama, I believe, used it and had it mailed to him from home all the time, but I didn't know about sniffing it, he showed me the little trick involving the gums and a hickory twig (also mailed to him from home). Really wasn't anything I was interested in after that.

I was under the impression that either method was an option. Ehh, Either way.....It's not all its cracked up to be....I guess we should show thanx to the Tobacco gods (and chemists worldwide) that we have the variety that we have today.....

Isn't Peach a snuff from Conwood Company?

Joe, if your Buttercup et. al. came in cardboard tubes, that might explain why they were the way they were. They've been packaging those in plastic tubes for, oh, a couple of years now.

I recently picked up W.E. Garrett Sweet & Mild and Scotch Snuff and they were in the cardboard and metal tubes as well. They seemed fresh enough inside, though. As for my opinion on them...I'm not a huge fan but they're not terrible. One thing I've found they are good for is mixing with other, coarser, moister snuffs for an added kick. I agree, though, that they'll never be my chioce for a daily snuff.

Have a pinch from my box, gents!

I Don't Know......Upon Further Review of the play...I'm leaning on Rooster and Honey Bee...although I have to Give Peach and Garretts more of a chance.

Dang, now y'all made me go look. I have Carhart, Honey Bee, Navy, Rooster, and Buttercup all in plastic containers with plastic lids. I put the snuff in jars and disposed of the containers with the Garretts, so I can't vouch for those. I'm probably wrong about those.
