I decided a while ago that i'd really like to try Gawith Cola flavoured snuff. When I first heard of it I thought 'that sounds pretty gross' but eventually decided to try it but found that since I live in the UK I could not get hold of it. None of the sites I looked at stocked any and I even emailed one of the sites asking why they didn't stock it. I received a reply saying that Poshcl didn't think it would sell very much in the UK so didn't bother selling it to us.

I was preparing for having to start looking for American websites who would ship internationally when I stumbled across mysmokingshop.co.uk and lo and behold they sell Gawith Cola!! I've ordered a tin of it as well as another unusual snuff called 'Bernard Brasil Double Fermented Snuff' which I have literally never heard of before.

It looks like a little gem of a website and seems to sell more varities of snuff than I have seen elsewhere.

I just wanted to make all my fellow UK snuffers aware of this site if they fancied trying Gawith Cola etc for themselves without the hassle of ordering it from abroad.

For my taste the Gawith Cola snuff is MUCH to heavy flavoured. I mixed it 1:1 with Toque natural.. already
much better but still a bit to strong flavoured for me, will try it with 1:3...

Please review the Bernard when you receive it, I am curious about the "Double Fermented" part of the name. Thanks!

I have ordered from there before, they are very good. I ordered a load of snuff yesterday actually with my first Bernards. Another good thing about them is that they sell Wilsons in 25g tins and F&T in 25g and 50g tins.

Lazarus, the Cola works well as a mixer. Try it with Ozona or Chapman Cherry or Toque Chocolate.

I've never tried Toque natural. The only Toques I have tried are Chocolate and Blueberry. I have about 50grams of the Chocolate at the moment...

Silly question: Does the Gawith Cola actually taste just like cola or is it just sweet?

As everyone smells things a little differently, to me it smells like cola syrup rather than the actual smell of cola from the can. The syrup used by the original soda jerks and still used in the family ice cream shop. They would put a few squirts of cola syrup in a glass then fill with the carbonated water.

My todays mixture taste somehow still strong like cola, the Gawith Cola itself for me like a
cola concentrate, it completely overlays the good quality tobacco. But mixed i find it really
    nice and interessing.

to me it does not really have a cola feel. more like something herbal, with a dark and pungent note.
if you really want to find cola in there, you will probably find it.

I've got some in right now. It is really heavily mentholated. I don't know how to distinguish the taste. I just like the container it comes in. I had taken a bit of Wilsons of Sharrow Irish High Toast and liked it. This is way way different...... more like using vicks vaporub. Nothing cola about it, but I guess I should try it with bourbon. I am curious which of the Poschl's are considered any good? Packards is I believe..

Yeah, and the texture of the Manjul is better (finer) than the De Kralingse Pompador, which I appreciate. I'm not as big a fan of the course grind sunffs.
