Well it finally happened. I finally made a spectacular mess in my home and wasted half a tin of Fribourg & Treyer High Dry Toast at the same time...

It still makes me cringe to think about it but I usually give the tin a shake before I open the lid and fish some out as I find some of the Fribourg & Treyer gets cloggy if you don't use it for a while. In my inexperience I forgot that a dry snuff like HDT doesn't really get cloggy only the moist snuffs like Morlaix or Old Paris do that.

Anyway after I shook the tin I unscrewed the top but before I could fish any out the phone went, I answered it and had a five minute conversation before returning my attention to the snuff. I picked it up (forgetting I had already unscrewed the top) and gave it a good, hard shake...imagine what happened. An explosion of snuff flew in every direction covering just about every surface within a 5 meter radius.

I didn't even swear actually. I was in such shock I think I just sat there in disbelief for a few seconds before trudging off to the kitchen to clean up the mess before my wife saw it.

Its funny isn't it? When you consider how much snuff costs its odd that we all get so stressed when we spill snuff but it is so annoying! lol

It's stupid because the price is so low. I think the whole thing for me is the process of it arriving. All I go through before it's actually in my hands. The research, the questions, deciding what to try, waiting for it come from over seas, looking in the mail box and there it is. You don't know if your going to like it or not. Then you find out hay this one is really good, then Ooops I've wasted it on the floor. I don't know how to play Chess, but from watching it. That whole thing of making a stupid mistake is the kicker.

Depending on where you spill it & how clean the area is you can salvage some of the snuff with the static off a balloon. Then just re-sieve it to pull out any contaminants. Or you can save it to make an insecticide.

I don't have a garden but I like the balloon Idea...I can have a small container attached to the wall inside the flat with: 'In Snuff related emergency: break glass' written on it. It could be full of balloons which I inflate with a tiny air cylinder inside and rush over to the spillage...nice! :O)

I know what you mean about waiting for the snuff to arrive Kim. I am very lucky actually as snuffstore.co.uk is located about 30 minute drive from where I live so if they post my snuff the day I ordered it (which they almost always do) I will literally get it the next day! Sometimes though I order from other companies and I have to wait 4-5 days sometimes and its not fun!!

Snuffstore is excellent, I received an order from them yesterday 20 hours after ordering it. I've just ordered a silver snuffbox, I'll review when I get it.

Two to three weeks? Korea isn't a great place to have a snuff habit then?
